The Iron Lady shows her bottle: Drinker finds Thatcher's image imprinted onto beer top. Amateur beer maker Lee Harlow was stunned when he stumbled on the eerie image of the former PM on the underside of a homebrew bottle cap. - An amateur beer maker found an unusual way to toast to the memory of Margaret Thatcher - by finding her image imprinted onto the bottom of his bottle tops.
Lee Harlow, 55, had been preparing the latest batch of his homemade brew when he stumbled upon the eerie image of the former Conservative Prime Minister on the underside of the cap.
Mr Harlow was shocked to see her shadowy face inside one of his screw tops which had been left for several days soaking in cleaning chemicals.
The black image had replicated her memorable hairdo and the dark eyes seem to convey her famously steely gaze.
Lee, a bus driver from Northwood, London, said: "I think it's uncanny and looks just like her.
"I found it a couple of days ago - and then heard the news about her death."
Lee, who has three children and five grandchildren, has around 50 gallons of home brew on the go, including bitter, lager, brown ale and ginger beer.
He added: "I'm going to keep the top as I was a big fan of hers.
"She gave me the opportunity to own my own home and helped me set up my own business.
"As far as I'm concerned she was the tops."
