And this month, Lady Gaga appeared to have reached the heights of outrageous fashion when she hatched from an egg at the Grammy Awards and emerged in an outfit 'inspired by a latex condom' with horns sprouting from her head.

After that, it would be understandable if the singer had run out of shock tactics, and indeed, Gaga opted for a far simpler style for a recent photoshoot - posing in nothing at all.

While she didn't need to worry about complicated headwear and squeezing herself into PVC costumes, the photoshoot is just as shocking as her usual antics.

The 24-year-old is shown in X-rated poses in a behind-the-scenes video on photographer Terry Richardson's blog.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, can be seen touching herself provocatively, licking her arm and fondling her breasts on the photoshoot for skate brand Supreme which took place earlier this month.

At one point, the Born This Way hitmaker appears in nothing but outlandishly high platform boots with only a skateboard to cover her modesty.

She also wears a wet white T-shirt with the Supreme logo and skimpy black lingerie, and at one point holds a young boy by the hand.

Richardson, 45, can be seen cheering her on as he snaps away.

The notorious photographer recently shot Justin Bieber for both Rolling Stone and LOVE magazines and last year captured James Franco dressed in drag fro Candy magazine.

He was also behind the controversial sexed-up GQ shoot starring Glee stars Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith.

Despite their X-rated antics behind the scenes, it appears only the more family-friendly shots have been used in the ad campaign.

The photographer snapped a wall in New York covered in posters for the skate wear company, which only shows Gaga's head and shoulders in a white T-shirt.

Lady Gaga is currently on tour with the Monster Ball, and appeared this week at Madison Square Garden in New York.
