Now for my Marilyn look: Lady Gaga channels her inner Monroe - She has recently has written a song about Princess Diana and appeared to channel her inner royal just last week.
But it appears that Lady Gaga has found inspiration from the silver screen and showed off her best Marilyn Monroe chic earlier today.
The 25-year-old singer was seen leaving a hotel in New York City and she looked unmistakably like the Hollywood icon born Norma Jean.

Gaga had her peroxide blonde locks styled into curls worn by the late actress but as ever the singer had put her own stamp on the style.
The Edge of Glory singer had covered her eyes with a pair of cat eye sunglasses, a style popular in the fifties which are currently enjoying a revival.

She also finished off her look with bright red lips and accessorised with an elaborate gold necklace.
While her facial appearance drew comparisons to Marilyn her outfit certainly did not.
The star was wearing only a black bra beneath her dark blazer as she sat in the car and waved to fans.
The blonde star made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday to film an interview to be aired tomorrow.
Speaking to the host about why she still doesn't own her own house, she said: 'I’m a gypsy, you know. I can’t plan my life out like that so much. Then I think, well, gosh. What a waste of money to buy a house and I’m on the road.'
But she also went on to speak about the money side of things, saying: 'Even though it might not seem like a big deal because I’m a pop singer or whatever it still hurts to write a check. It’s a lot of money.

'Everybody was laughing because when I signed my tax returns this year I had to get completely wasted. They were just holding me up. It’s unbelievable.'
Wearing her hair in an odd style of four buns and sporting decorated eyebrows, Gaga also commented on her ideal acting role.
'I don’t really know. I guess my dream would be to be in a Woody Allen movie or something. That would sort of be my dream,' she told DeGeneres. ( dailymail.co.uk )
