Royal Wedding Spawns Grudge Match Between Fortune Tellers, Astrologers - Prince William and Kate Middleton say "I do" in the British royal wedding scheduled for April 29. Already there is a fortune teller predicting gloom and doom. At the same time, astrologers alternatively gush with happy news or predict hard times. What are they, who tap into the celestial realms, saying about the upcoming nuptials?
Fortune teller Chen Shuaifo: Marriage is over by winter, 2015
Perhaps the direst prediction comes from what Time terms "a leading Chinese fortune teller." Looking at the faces of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the fortune teller finds confirmation of their mulish dispositions, which does not bode well for a relationship that requires give and take. Adding bad energy to the mix is the use of the late Lady Diana's ring as an engagement gift.
Even so, there is some hope. If the couple decides to look to feng shui when setting up their marital home, they may have a chance to make it past the winter of 2015. Chen Shuaifo also recommends artwork with a horse motif for the areas most used by Kate.
President of the All India Federation of Astrologers' Societies, Arun Kumar Bansal: "Mostly rosy future"
Astrologer Arun Kumar Bansal fails to share in the gloomy prediction of the Chinese fortune teller. Talking to the Indian Express, he explains that William and Kate are well-matched. Out of 36 general compatibility points, the couple rates 24. He sees Middleton's willingness to accommodate the future heir to Britain's throne as the major factor for a successful marriage.
There is, of course, a fly in the ointment. The couple may have a hard time conceiving the next heir to the throne.
Feng shui master Yeo Tinming: Kate Middleton will be pregnant in 2012
The astrologer's predictions about difficulties filling the royal home's nurseries are nonsensical to Yeo Tinming. Looking at William and Kate -- especially the facts that one is born in the winter and the other in the summer -- he sees a couple that complements one another beautifully. Even though there will be arguments and fights, they are nevertheless well-suited. Oh, and an announcement of a pregnancy should be made in 2012.
Chair of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, Wendy Stacey: "Soul mates"
Quoting the AP, AOL News reveals that the match of Capricorn and Cancer spells a victorious marriage for Prince William and Kate. Evidently, astrologers have to do a bit of guessing, since Kate Middleton's exact time of birth is not publicly known.
Even so, a worker of the British Astrological and Psychic Society has apportioned a 75 percent compatibility rating for the couple. But will the monarchy deal with a future king or queen on the throne? Stacey claims that Middleton "definitely wears the pants in the relationship." Does this hint at a future of being henpecked for Prince William? ( yahoo.com )
