Indonesian Air Force One - New Indonesian Air Force One aircraft Boeing Business Jet 2 (BBJ2) for the activities of the Indonesian president arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma airport here on Thursday, a minister has stated.
"The new presidential aircraft BBJ2, worth US$89,6 million or around Rp847 billion, has arrived," Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi informed the press at Halim Perdanakusuma airport on Thursday.
Sudi noted that after a procurement process of at least four years, the Indonesian presidential aircraft finally arrived in Jakarta.
According to him, the new Indonesian Air Force One has been designed in such a way to meet the requirement and to make presidential trips more efficient.
The interior configuration includes an executive office, conference rooms, private offices and bedrooms.
Sudi Silalahi explained that from the state budget standpoint, the use of the new presidential aircraft will be much more efficient than using a commercial air craft.
This aircraft seats up to 63 passengers, which is the average for all Jet Jets & Prop Planes.
The Boeing BBJ2 can fly nonstop for up to 5,620 nautical miles, which is 2,505 nautical miles more than the average for all Jet Jets & Prop Planes.
This aircraft can fly its maximum range while cruising at a speed of 470 knots, which is 2.6 percent faster than the average for all Jet Jets & Prop Planes.
